If I had the time right now, I'd draw one up. School and work are basically destroying my ability to create things.Keith on March 29th, 2006 at 1:51:25 AM
Tried doodling some stuff in PS for a while but couldn't come up with anything worth more than 3 cents.Brian on March 29th, 2006 at 10:07:23 PM
I made a really quick one... It doesn't follow any kind of color scheme, but I can always work with the concept based on comments.http://www.subvariance.com/?f=3&id=3056

This topic is MiG tested, Brian approved. So, here I am, with my pretty (pretty ugly) little site, a boring headline, and no logo on my website ( http://www.ridingthepine.com ).
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to design a logo (preferably something with dimensions somewhat near 300w x 100h. It can be larger, as long as it's a similar ratio. Before I get to the description of what I want, let me go into the details of the "prize" (if you can even call it that)
Two options
1. 10 dollars sent to you through paypal. (well, 10.80something, so it ends up as 10 bucks after paypal fees)
2. 20 dollars donated to subVariance in your name.
Requirements (more like loose guidelines)
1. The logo will be sports related, possibly, but not necessarily requiring, involving 1 or more of the following.
-bench http://www.onlinesports.com/images/stan-17600.jpg
/>
-basketball, football, baseball, baseball bat, hockey stick (any or all of the above)
-a player "riding the pine" (sitting on the bench)
(Baseball term, occasionally extended to other sports. to sit on the (presumably pine) bench, as a substitute not in the game, especially one who has been removed from the game. Often "riding the pines.")
That's about it.
Is anyone interested? Email me at [miguel {at} ridingthepine*com] with any ideas you may have. The best bet would probably be if you have a drawing, submit it to subVariance, and then either email me at the email address listed above, or find me in irc at #subvariance.
Thanks
-Miguel
