deviant Art refugee

I have been looking for another site as an alternative to deviant Art, which is becoming too much like YouTube. I like to work with traditional art painting and drawing, the real pencil and paper or brush and canvas type work. I must be old-fashioned, but I prefer artwork done by hand rather than computer-generated images. I feel the same way about music I play real guitar. Not standing there pretending to play a guitar.

Well most of what you say is right on the surface but if your trying to say a 3D model is some how easier to create than a pencil drawing welll pffffffffffffffffffffffffffft.

I agree, computer art can be time consuming as the traditional kind. I think too, people are more interested in "painted" pictures rather than pencil and paper drawings whether they are computer art or traditional. I deleted all my sketches over there cause they were being overlooked.

I love both digital and traditional work and I try to look at and enjoy every piece submitted to sv, but I definitely take more time to look at pencil sketches out of personal preference. There's something more real to me about traditional media...

And I prefer this place over DA. True talent and equally good art in traditional mediums are too often overlooked over there. Unless it's a wolf or anime image.
