Description:
One of my first pastel pieces done during class. The figure was some abstract-esque ballerina made of what appeared to be cement. She was bulky and the angles were neato but, at the same time, a bit of a pain as far as trying to decide what planes should be what due to curving.

Tops are LIGHT bitches.

Media:
Stafford Charcoal Paper, Prismacolor Pastels (Greyscale), Time, Magic.

I like this. It is very surreal. I love your work on the shading and form in this piece. Great Job!

Thanks! It's a really neat piece to actually see and examine since, although the muscles and such are still correctly placed, the flat planes which represent them twist; and the medium gives it a gritty texture which is unusual given the subject matter. I'm hoping to get a photo of the piece sometime. Though I wouldn't mind having the actual sculpture.

I'd say something bad about this but I think you've already covered it visually.
