Description:
A shot taken while staying in Paris during April 2003 in the famous "catacombes" aka The Kindom of the Dead. There rest all the corpses from Paris' graveyards, when they were emptied due to lack of space some centuries ago. They are huge. The part which is accesible to the public already is a 3 km walk, with corpses on either side of the way about 1,7 meters high and 5 to 15 meters to every wall and that is only a tiny part of the whole underground system. I took this picture at the entrance without a flash. The long exposure is responsible for the "glow" in this picture. Cropped with minimal manipulation at the top part to fade it to black.
