Edited version of the comic. Warden and Jared are from the show, Superjail. Was a test on storyboarding and I got carried away.
Has anyone realized that the Warden's hat never fits the circumference of his head in the show?
ANYWAYS - The basic story is a pun on the title of the strip. I tried to make the emotions and postures clear and distinct for each character. The fact that some people commented on Jared's nervous flinch was awesome... The original sketch had him with his hands covering his face more, but then I remembered how I'd flinch when I knew I was knee high in shit with someone. I'll always looked away for an escape, ever so quickly! And would flick my hands as though I was going to block a possible attack. In the end I think the finished take resulted in a more believable look with more personality to it as well as action.
Although I tried my best to capture the original style of the show I failed utterly and so as you can tell, some of my sigs are there. Heh, I wanted to draw Warden with soft edged rectilinear ears like I normally do, but decided against it last minute.
I had fun composing this piece. Many storyboard artists though it was done well which made me happy since it's my first real attempt. Kind of...
